ROYAL OAK – September 10, 2024.  Plum Health Direct Primary Care is expanding to a new Royal Oak location at 26154 Woodward Avenue, offering enhanced-access primary care memberships to individuals, families, and employers.  This is Plum Health’s fifth Michigan location with others in Detroit, Lansing, Van Buren, and Corunna.
 
The primary physician in Royal Oak is Dr. Sharon Im.  Board certified in family medicine and fellowship trained in sports medicine, Dr. Im is a graduate of the Wayne State School of Medicine.  She completed her family medicine residency at Beaumont Wayne and completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship through the Henry Ford Health System. She has worked with the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons during her training.
 
“Dr. Im and I are offering Royal Oak and nearby neighborhoods access to direct primary care,” said Dr. Paul Thomas, founder of Plum Health Direct Primary Care. “By proving unlimited access, we are not only helping patients improve their health and manage any of their conditions, but we’re also helping companies control their health care costs.  Primary care, urgent care, women’s health and mental health services can now be available for a single flat monthly fee like other memberships.”
 
Through Plum Health Direct Primary Care memberships, employees and their families covered under health plans or directly through businesses can benefit from enhanced-access primary care services, as well as eliminating delays in care and unnecessary urgent and emergent visits.
 
Individuals and families in these communities can purchase memberships to access concierge-level primary care services without the constraints of traditional health care models.
 
Direct communication with health care providers via phone, text, and email is encouraged, and virtual and in-person visits are available without copayments. Plum Health guarantees same or next-day appointments during clinic hours, with extended appointment durations ranging from 30 to 60 minutes if desired.
