About Us
Since 2002, South Oakland Citizens for the Homeless has worked with local churches to facilitate Welcome Inn which is the only 'low-barrier' emergency winter shelter-system in south Oakland County. Open December-March, Welcome Inn provides refuge from the cold, warm and nutritious meals, case-management services, medical care, clothing inclusive of outerwear, and access to showers, laundry and hygiene services.
