Bill joined the Chamber in September 2006. He has held executive management positions in sales, operations and finance. He most recently was vice president of accelerated sales for Colliers International/Insite Commercial Group. Prior to that Bill spent 11 years with Xerox Corporation in southeast Michigan, in sales and operations positions. He formerly was controller of William M. Mercer, Inc. in Detroit. He received his bachelor’s degree from Northwood University and masters degrees from Northwood’s DeVos Graduate School of Management. Bill lives in Pleasant Ridge with his wife. |

After spending 18
years at home raising her family, Andrea rejoined
the workforce in 1999 taking a job in inside
sales for Monroe Engineering. In 2003, she
accepted the position of Director of Membership
with the Royal Oak Chamber and over the course
of 3 ½ years, Andrea was successful
in increasing membership by 454 new members
and organizing the Chamber’s first Ambassador
Committee. Married to former Mayor, Dennis
Cowan, Andrea’s dedication and commitment
to Royal Oak is apparent every day and since
returning in March, 2007 as the Director of
Development, is excited to be once again part
of the Chamber. Andrea lives in Royal Oak with
Dennis and their children, Sara, Danny and
Kaitlyn. |

JoAnne joined the
staff of the Chamber in May 2007. Prior to
that, she held several positions as an administrative
assistant, her most recent being with Barry
L. Howard, Esq., a retired Oakland County Circuit
Court judge, now in private practice specializing
in alternative dispute resolution. JoAnne worked
part-time, providing administrative and secretarial
support. She also spent seven years as an administrative
assistant/office manager with Emerald Food
Services, coordinating the Meals-on-Wheels
program for eight cities in Oakland County.
She resides in Madison Heights with her husband,
Rich, and two daughters, Cara and Jenna. |

Mandy joined the Chamber
as its bookkeeper in 2004. She has a bachelors
degree from Michigan State University and has
worked in a financial capacity in real estate
development and for numerous manufacturing
representatives. Married for more than 25 years
she lives with her husband Rick Johnson (Billings
Lawn Equipment) and their dog Dakota in Bloomfield
Hills. They also have three grown children – Stephani,
Scott and Julie. |

Shelly joined the Chamber in May 2003 (one week before a major event!) Before being the first official Director of Events at the RO Chamber, Shelly held several event marketing positions over the last 12 years, working for such notable companies as PriceWaterhouseCoopers and the Michigan Association of CPA’s. Her most recent position was for a medical communications company as their Conference Manager, organizing HIV/Aids workshops all over the world. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in Design and Merchandising, with an Art History minor. Shelly lives in Royal Oak with her husband and son. |
